Ah, Camp! To many it brings back memories and to some it is a teaching opportunity to share with others the beauty of nature that our God has provided. It is a place to relax, fellowship, and to slow the fast pace of today’s world. Camp Helen is located at 14477 Baptist Camp Road Harvest, AL 35749.
Camp Helen History
There is a picture located in the Fellowship Hall of Helen Balch. She donated the land to the Association in the 1960’s. Since that time, untold numbers of people have enjoyed “Camp Helen”.

*What can we do there?
There is a in-ground swimming pool, large kitchen and fellowship hall that sits up to 150 people, an outdoor 24 X 48 pavilion with picnic tables, dorms that can sleep up to 60 people, fish pond, large movie screen, swings & fire pit, & ball fields. Besides all the amenities, there are 32 beautiful acres to hike and explore.
*Who can reserve the Camp?
Churches and/or outside groups can reserve the Camp. Anyone willing to follow the policies and procedures is welcome to make a reservation. Examples of groups that have reserved the camp are: Churches, Staff Meetings, Conferences, Runners, Ball Teams, Mission Groups, Kids Day Camps, Women’s Retreats, Men’s Retreats, Family Reunions, and Birthday Parties.
*When is the Camp Available?
The Camp Fellowship Hall is open all year to serve the needs of your large group. Other amenities are seasonal.
